Dinner Meetings:  Your check  or payment is your RSVP and is due the Monday prior to the event.  The cost is $65 for members and $75 for non-members if paying by check, or add $2 to each if paying via Paypal.
 

Appetizers (choose 1):

Maryland-style lump crab cakes (with chili lime mayonnaise)

Traditional shrimp cocktail (with tomato horseradish sauce & Marie Rose sauce)

Gerard's baby green salad (with poached pears, Vermont goat cheese, candied

pistachios, golden raisins, lemon vinaigrette)


Entrees (choose 1):

Pan-seared salmon (with mashed potatoes, haricot vert, tomato bruschetta)

Chicken Schnitzel (with mashed potatoes, haricot vert, lemon bechamel)

Filet Au Poivre (with mashed potatoes, haricot vert, cognac cream)


Dessert (choose 1):

Vanilla bean creme brulee

Molten chocolate cake with ice cream

Directions to The Chesterfield Hotel

Map below.  Take I-95 to Okeechobee Blvd. (West Palm Beach).  Head east past the Kravis Center and through the city.  Cross the bridge into Palm Beach.  The first light is Cocoanut Row--turn right onto Cocoanut Row.  The Chesterfield is on the corner of Australian and Cocoanut and has green and pink awnings.  The address is 363 Cocoanut Row, and their phone number is 561-659-5800.  Valet service is complimentary.  If you'd prefer to park on your own, remember this is a residential area, so only park in the 2 hour parking zones.  Cars are immediately cited/towed  for improper parking!!! 


Proper attire required:  ties and coats for gentlemen, dresses/skirts/suits for ladies.

 July 2007 - St. George's Society of Palm Beach is

                   formed by Susan Oyer, Harvey Oyer Jr., & the Bales.  The first                                  meeting is at Rosalita's.

        2007 - until a permanent meeting place was chosen, meetings were held at                      Boca Muse, including our first formal meeting with PBC                                            Geneaologist Marjorie Nelson.  All those that joined in 2007 are                              founding members. 

        2008 - meetings are moved to The Chesterfield  Hotel in Palm Beach--                            thanks Marian for the suggestion--our meeting location ever since.

        2008-2012--we try a variety of fundraisers over the years.  Our first raffle                      items were donated by Cartier, Palm Beach.  Royal Wedding

                    programs for silent auction were the most successful auction items                          ever.

       2013-2014--some of our most prominent guest speakers spoke                                            during these years:  Rene Silvin, Jim Ponce, Col. Bobby Spencer,                              Ret., and Laurence Leamer.

       2015 --the Society gets a Twitter feed, joins Meetup.com, and gets member                      number 100

       2016​--our first fashion show held in March at The Chesterfield Hotel and                          co-sponsored by The​ Circumnavigator's Club of Palm Beach to                                benefit​ FAU's British History research grant fund

       2017--The St. George's Society of Palm Beach celebrates its 10th birthday                          on 7-7-2017.  Our actual luncheon celebration was held on July 29th                      at The Chesterfield Hotel.  See pictures on the Home page.
